Brigadier General Shane M. Upton currently serves as the Director of the Army Futures Command (AFC) Contested Logistics Cross-Functional Team.
BG Upton has served across the spectrum of tactical, operational, and strategic assignments in the United States and overseas. He formerly served as the USAREUR-AF Deputy Chief of Staff, G4, where he was responsible for the coordination and synchronization of supplies and equipment from across the global US Army area of operations in support of the Ukrainian effort. BG Shane M. Upton began serving as the first Director for the Army Futures Command (AFC) Contested Logistics Cross-Functional Team (CL CFT) on June 27, 2023.
