Letitia A. Long served as the fifth Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and was the first woman to lead a major US intelligence agency. Ms. Long started her career in Naval Intelligence and went on to serve as the Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence, the first Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence (Policy, Requirements and Resources), the first Chief Information Officer, and later the Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Ms. Long has earned awards that include the 2017 Virginia Tech Distinguished Achievement Award, the Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive, two Presidential Rank Awards of Meritorious Executive, two DoD Medals for Distinguished Service, and three National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medals.

Ms. Long holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of America, and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Strategic Intelligence by the National Intelligence University.
