What was your role in the military?
I began my career in the U.S. Army in 2007, where I served in the 4th Infantry Division, 1st Battalion 67th Armor Regiment as an All Source Analyst. I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. After the Army, I moved into federal government consulting and supported projects for the Department of Defense, Department of State, U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
How did your experience inform your perspective in the private sector?
The military provides a lot of tools that are very helpful in the corporate world. The Army taught me how to work as part of a team and manage and integrate diverse perspectives to serve a mission. A mantra that I have carried over from the Army is that my team and I are in it together.
What made you choose to join Govini?
I have always loved technology. As a child, I used to get in trouble for removing parts from my video games to try to understand the technology. In addition to the exciting technology, the passion Govini employees have for the company’s mission and clients make it an invigorating and exciting environment.
