What was your role in the military?
I served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. As a SWO, I was stationed on a Destroyer based in Norfolk, VA. During my service, I had the pleasure of both leading divisions of Sailors and overseeing the ship's safety of navigation.
What made you choose Govini?
I chose Govini because I was inspired by the company's mission. I wanted to make a sizable impact in an area of significant need that also expanded upon my service.
How has being a veteran shaped you?
Being a veteran has given me a heightened awareness of the sacrifices necessary to provide the freedoms Americans enjoy every day. I am very grateful for that added perspective and the sense of community that I share with my fellow veterans.
How can Americans show their appreciation for veterans?
I think Americans can show their appreciation by being thoughtful and upstanding citizens. Whether it's exercising your opportunity to vote or volunteering within your community, everyone has the ability to make America a better place.
